Values-based Sustainability is a new approach to teaching about sustainability. By combining it with human and environmental values, it becomes far more relevant to students, particularly in primary schools but increasingly in secondary schools too.
Values based sustainability is a joint venture between Values-based education (VbE) and the award-winning author Catherine Barr.
Research has confirmed that students improve their academic performance and their interest in sustainability when they feel engaged with the subject they are learning about.
The Values-based Sustainability package is a unparalelled opportunity that brings together:
8 signed Sustainability Books by award-winning author Catherine Barr
6 Activities Props for teachers
6 VbE PowerPoints for Assemblies

Catherine Barr is a VbE author. She has written a wide range of books to bring the beauty of nature to life for children, the threats we pose and practical ways children can support sustainability.
Values are woven throughout her books to connect our awareness with our behaviours.
She told us that she writes books to spark conversation and curiosity about our natural world. They are written to inspire children to want to discover more, get involved and be bold, in taking action to inspire positive change.
Catherine is available to visit schools in the UK and throughout the world to talk about her books and to introduce children to the wonderful world of nature and sustainability.
