About VbE
Values-based Education (VbE) is a profoundly different life-enhancing, holistic approach to education. It supports schools to provide a values-based environment in which pupils become aware of and experience positive universal values in their lives. It provides learners with the foundations from which to develop self-awareness, interpersonal skills and opportunities to put their values into action to enable humanity and our world to flourish.
We provide experienced support and training for schools and other settings to develop all aspects of values-based education.
VbE is the educational arm of the IVET Foundation, a UK registered charity whose objectives are to support social transformation for the flourishing of humanity.
VbE Overview
VbE is a transformational philosophy and approach to education rooted in a research program at Oxford University, spanning 10 years. At its heart, VbE understands that successful values education is more than teaching children about values. Success is assessed on whether children choose for themselves to embed those values in their thinking and behaviour. When positive universal values become embedded in the next generation, it will have a profound impact on the future cohesion and harmony within the world.
