for developing a values-based environment
Consistency in design helps develop and strengthen a school’s identity — creating a cohesive family of values that’s recognisable and meaningful.
Alderbrook Secondary and Sixth Form
Hardwearing, profile-cut values boards were installed throughout a corridor, delivering a consistent and impactful visual identity.
St James CE Primary
The school’s values were cut from frosted vinyl and applied to internal classroom windows, reducing distraction while reinforcing key messages.
Abbey CofE Infants
A modern acrylic values plaque display was produced with updatable snap frames, enabling the school to celebrate pupils through interchangeable photo content.
Christ Church Primary
Value iconography was creatively deconstructed to form a striking hall window display, produced using triple-printed gloss vinyl with precision cut-away detailing.
City of Birmingham Schools (COB) PRU
A hardwearing Growth Mindset DiBond corridor display was installed to reinforce the school’s values and inspire pupils to make positive choices for their future.
Warstone Primary
A robust DiBond values display was installed on the bike shed, extending the school’s ethos into external areas.

This sketch-note illustrates the potential for values to be displayed through your whole school.
It highlights the areas, the audience and the focal points to consider. For example, child centred displays and resources, areas for community focus, visitors spaces and staff areas.
Two Thirds Design is an independent organisation helping schools display their values throughout the school.
