Loneliness Awareness Week  17th-21st June  Loneliness Awareness Week UK

A new campaign launched by Loneliness Minister Mims Davies is helping to tackle the stigma of loneliness and encourage people to speak out.

‘Let’s Talk Loneliness’ brings together charities, organisations and businesses including The Marmalade Trust, the Co-op Foundation, the British Red Cross, the Campaign to End Loneliness, Mind, Public Health England and the Jo Cox Foundation to help people talk about their feelings.

It comes as a new poll shows that not wanting to burden others is the main barrier to people talking about their feelings of loneliness

World Values Day - 15th October 2020

World Values Day logo

Values are the things that are important to us.
Values are what make us who we are. They are the compass guiding everything we do – our choices and our actions.

When we forget that compass, we take the wrong turn. It’s the same for our families, for our communities, for the world.
Our values show us the way.

What will you be inspired to do this World Values Day?

International Day for Tolerance - 16th November

Tolerance isn’t necessary if we are in agreement.
We are allowed to disagree, but it is the manner and attitude with which we express our views which is important.UN logo World Tolerance Day
Tolerance is a term often used interchangeably with ‘celebrating diversity’, and whilst both terms complement each other, ‘tolerance’ is the only concept that gets to the heart of the really difficult work in educating young people on how to address people, practices and perspectives that they do not understand or do not agree with.
